Cutino Sauce Co. Verde Hot Sauce
This heavenly hot sauce is a mix of poblano, tomatillo, habanero, jalapeno and a touch of Ghost pepper.
Ingredients: Poblano, Tomatillo, Vinegar, Onion, Jalapeno, Habanero, Mustard, Sugar, Salt, Lime Juice, Ghost Pepper (Dried)
Our Verde sauce captures the rich earthy flavor of the poblano pepper, tomatillo’s bright tanginess, habanero pepper’s sweet heat, the fresh friendly flavor of the trusty jalapeño, and a hint of the dried ghost pepper’s smoky floral fire. Add to all that a touch of lime, and you’re in hot sauce heaven!

Verde: as one would think, the Verde is a little less heat, less obtrusive, more green and earthy, with still some awesome flavor. I love heat, so Cutino Sauce Co. Habanero was perfect taste for me, but what would I give someone who doesn’t want heat? Verde. This sauce has all of the great attributes of Hananero, with a slightly less punch. You can definitely feel the cooler tones of the poblano peppers, tomatillo, and jalapeno, but then they pack a late punch with some dried ghost pepper. This one was a little too thin for me, too watery where it limits what I can put it on so it gets 4 out of 5.
Super delicious sauce to the milder side but very lime forward. Awesome on tacos and chicken.
DON’T JUDGE A BOOK (BOTTLE) BY ITS COVER. Okay, I have to admit, I have seen these bottles around, but the simplicity of design never ‘attracted’ me to them. Where is the play on words and innuendos, where are the crazy graphics with crazy names, fire, horns, etc. etc. etc. Right??? But then I think, maybe they don’t have to trick you with gimmicky marketing because their sauce is LEGIT. How many times has the sauce with the crazy label been a complete dud? May times for me.
My palette: I like heat, a lot, I am always looking for heat. But, I LOVE FLAVOR. I tried this immediately after trying the Cutino Habanero. Shook the Verde bottle and poured it into a shot glass to sip, unobstructed from food and I was impressed.

I give this one 4 out of 5 due to it being very thin, too thin to have substance to sit on a sandwich without making the bread soggy, and I can put the predominantly mustard taste on my burrito? Still, super taste and very sophisticated recipe.
