Especia Roja Hot Sauce
Subtle hints of Guajillo peppers accented by roasted pumpkin seed and cumin, followed by the sweetness of fire-roasted red peppers.
Ingredients: Distilled vinegar, roasted red peppers (pepper, water, citric acid), fire roasted tomato (tomato, citric acid), water, pomegranate juice, guajillo peppers, fresh garlic, roasted pepitas, chile de arbol, chile pequin, spices.
This sauce has all the flavor you’d expect from a Burns & McCoy sauce. I am a big Burns & McCoy fan for sure, so when I saw this I knew it would be worth a try. This is a nice rich dark red sauce. Like some roasted tomatoes and roasted chili peppers. This sauce doesn’t have a ton of heat at all, but it is a very nice and thick and rich tomato sauces with some onion, garlic, cumin, a little lime and a ton of roasted peppers. Roasted greatness.
I like this sauce so much, I have used it with a lot of different kinds of Italian dishes as well as on pizza and on Mexican. This is very versatile and really a nicely robust sauce.
