This brings flavors from Indian cuisine with enough complexity to stand on their own, and then takes them to the next level with a respectable amount of heat. This is the thickest hot sauce I've used — I'm accustomed to (and a fan of) sauces that have body, but Tikk-Hot Masala doesn't want to leave the bottle until I use a chopstick to persuade it. But the flavor is well worth the extra effort.
I had some of the stuff the other day on some chicken nuggets and it was absolutely wonderful. I would describe the sauce is being under the thicker side.
On the bottle it says mild side of extra hot. On my scale I would say it's probably about a 3 or 4 on the heat. Like I have said that isn't everything. Flavor first, as they say. List of ingredients is as follows: Roma tomato, distilled vinegar, unsweetened coconut milk, ghost pepper, Anaheim chili, onion, water, agave nectar, tomato paste, Carolina reaper pepper, kosher salt, fresh ginger, fresh garlic, peppercorns, cumin, garam masala, apple cider vinegar, turmeric, and coriander.
With that being said, on the flavor this sauce is just awesome! I really love it. I would have to give this easily an 8 out of 10 on the flavor, and maybe even better than that. As the bottle says it's a blend of sweet and savory flavors with creamy coconut milk and earthy spices. It's definitely got a bit of a punch from the peppers in the ghost peppers and Carolina reapers that are found in the sauce.
To me this is honestly one of those sauces that's so good you could just about drink it out of the bottle. You have to control yourself pouring it on food because it's so good and you want to make it last longer. If you haven't had this before, you're missing out! I'm horrible at saying what sauce would go good on something, because to me hot sauce is able to go on almost anything.
The first taste you get of this sauce will blow you away and leave you wanting more and more. High Desert absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one.
Didn't know if I would like it before I tried it but I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend!
