Let’s be honest—Brussels sprouts don’t exactly rank high on America’s list of favorite foods.
I’ll admit, they weren’t a favorite of mine growing up, either. But I found the perfect solution to change that.
I have two secret weapons to transform these green little buds into a dish you’ll crave.
The first is my Bourbon Barrel Malt Vinegar, which brings a bright, tangy kick to balance the richness.
The second? The ultimate flavor enhancer: bacon.
Cooking Brussels sprouts in bacon makes them irresistibly crispy and infuses them with incredible flavor. The malt vinegar cuts through the bacon’s richness, adding the perfect acidic note for balance.
Serve these Malt Vinegar Brussels Sprouts to any skeptic, and watch them become a fan. Trust me, this recipe is a game-changer!
1 lb Brussels sprouts, washed and halved
3 tbsp cooked bacon, crumbled
Salt and pepper
2 tsp Bourbon Barrel Malt Vinegar
1. Heat the bacon fat in a pan over medium heat until the fat is melted.
2. Sauté the Brussels sprouts for five minutes, stirring often.
3. Add salt and pepper to taste.
4. Add the malt vinegar and bacon to the pan, and stir to combine.
5. Turn the heat to medium-low, and saute for 5 more minutes.
6. That’s it. Enjoy!
